Saturday, December 5th – 5.40pm – 13 further death – 456 new cases reported nationally

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed that 13 further people diagnosed with Covid-19 have died in Ireland.

There have been 2,099 deaths associated with the virus to date. *The figure includes “probable and possible” deaths.

An additional *456 new cases have been identified nationally bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Ireland since the outbreak began to 73,948. (1 case has been reclassified to ‘confirmed’)

*A technical issue that delayed uploading of laboratory results to the HPSC has been resolved. It led to a reduced number of cases reported in recent days. The reporting is reflected in a higher number of cases today. There has been no impact on the management of cases or the timeliness of contact tracing. Day on day variations such as these are taken into account in all epidemiological analyses.

*’Less than 5′ new cases have been reported in Clare.

The total number of cases diagnosed in the county since the beginning of the crisis stands at 1,506. *(Measured at midnight on 04/12/20 but doesn’t include any of the cases confirmed today).

*The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.

Friday, December 4th – 6.10pm – 6  further death – 265 new cases reported nationally

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed that 6 further people diagnosed with Covid-19 have died in Ireland.

There have been 2,086 deaths associated with the virus to date. *The figure includes “probable and possible” deaths.

An additional 265 new cases have been identified nationally bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Ireland since the outbreak began to 73,491. (2 cases have been denotified)

*’Less than 5′ new cases have been reported in Clare.

There have been 2,080 deaths associated with the virus to date. *The figure includes “probable and possible” deaths.

An additional 183 new cases have been identified nationally bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Ireland since the outbreak began to 73,228. (21 cases have been denotified)

*NO new cases have been reported in Clare.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed that 18 further people diagnosed with Covid-19 have died in Ireland. (15 deaths occurred in November; 1 in October and 2 are under investigation).

There have been 2,069 deaths associated with the virus to date. *The figure includes “probable and possible” deaths. (2 deaths have been denotified)

An additional 269 new cases have been identified nationally bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Ireland since the outbreak began to 72,798. (15 cases have been denotified)
