Gardaí investigate firearms incidents and arson attack

Gardaí in Clare have issued an appeal for witnesses to three serious incidents in the county over the past week.

In two cases, firearms were discharged in public places while in another, a residential property was targeted with a petrol bomb.

In Kilrush, Gardaí responded to an involving the discharge of a firearm at a residential property in the town last Wednesday morning at 1am. A firearm was discharged into a house that was occupied at the time. No injuries were received by the homeowner.

Gardai are conducting an investigation and have recovered a firearm. We are anyone with information on this incident or witnessed anything please contact Kilrush Gardaí at 065 9080550.

Sixmilebridge Gardai are investigating the discharge of a firearm on the 20th June at 3.30am on the Shannon Rd are of the village.

Anyone with information please about this incident is asked to contacted Gardaí in Shannon on 061 395600.

Meanwhile, Gardaí in Newmarket on Fergus are investigating a serious incident that occurred last Wednesday the 17th June at 11.30pm.

A homemade petrol bomb was thrown at a front window of a house in the Kilinasoolagh area of the village causing extensive damage. No injuries were reported but there were occupants in the house at the time.
