Gardaí in Clare are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigations into a number of recent incidents across the county.
Gardaí at Scariff Garda Station are investigating a burglary that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning between 1.30am and 8.30am. The suspects gained entry to a residential property in Riverview, Scariff and took the keys of a vehicle and subsequently stole the vehicle.
The stolen vehicle is a black Audi A5 Coupe. Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have been driving through Scariff in the early hours of Sunday morning that may have witnessed something unusual or seen a black Audi A5 coupe, to please contact Scariff Garda Station at 061 922790.
In Ennis, Gardaí are investigating criminal damage to a vehicle that occurred in the early hours of last Wednesday morning, the 22nd May. This vehicle, a black Ford Focus was parked on Considines Road in Ennis and between 3.30am and 8am windows were smashed in this black Ford Focus. Gardaí in Kilrush are investigating damage to a residential property that occurred last Thursday between 11am and 4pm. When the owner arrived home to their house on Wilson Road last Thursday they found a window had been interfered with and damaged. The damage is fixed and the home is now secure but Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have seen this incident occurring on Wilson Road or may have observed a person or vehicle out of character on the road last Thursday, to please contact Kilrush Garda Station on 065 9080550.
Sixmilebridge Gardaí are investigating damage that caused to a vehicle whilst parked in the owner’s driveway just before 4am last Tuesday morning, the 21st May. This incident occurred in the Woodview Heights estate and significant damage was caused to a blue Skoda Superb. Gardaí in Ennis are also investigating three thefts that occurred in Ennis between Thursday night and Friday, 24th May between half past midnight and 8.30am.
The first vehicle was parked near the Abbey Hostel on Harmony Row and this was broken into between half past midnight and 8.30am on Friday morning. A bag with a large quantity of clothing was taken. This vehicle was a silver Hyundai Santa Fe.
A second vehicle was entered between 1am and 8am and this vehicle was also parked near the Abbey Hostel on Harmony Row. There was no damage caused to this silver Ford Mondeo but again a bag containing clothing was taken.
The third vehicle was entered on the grounds of Ennis General Hospital and the vehicle was a white Peugeot Partner van. No damage was caused to the vehicle but a number of items were taken including bank cards. One of these cards was used by the perpetrator and Gardaí are viewing CCTV from these locations. The owner of the vehicle reported that this theft occurred between 1am and 8.30am on Friday morning.
Gardaí are asking anyone who might have observed anybody near the vehicles in the vicinity of the Abbey Street Hostel or acting out of character on Harmony Row or on the grounds of Ennis General Hospital or if they think that they have has dash-cam footage in their vehicle that may assist us, please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100.
