Gardaí seek witnesses to Lissycasey hit-and-run incident

Kilrush Gardaí are appealing for the public’s assistance regarding a hit and run collision that occurred in Lissycasey village, on the main Ennis to Kilrush Road on the 19th November between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

A woman in her 30s was out walking when a car travelling in the direction of Kilrush struck her. She was later brought by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick where she received treatment for her injuries.

Gardaí are continuing their investigation into this incident and believe that the vehicle involved is a red Ford Focus hatchback.

Crime Prevention Officer for Clare Sergeant Catriona Holohan said: “If you were in Lissycasey village last Wednesday evening and observed a red Ford Focus hatchback or if you were driving on the Ennis to Kilrush Road and have a Dash camera in your vehicle, please contact Kilrush Garda Station on 065 9080550.”
