Gardaí have seized drugs estimated to be worth €7,000 as well as cash, items of value and fireworks in a series of searches carried out in West Clare yesterday.
Gardaí from the Kilrush Crime Unit and Kilrush Community Engagement, assisted by the Ennis Crime Unit, Roads Policing Unit, Regional Dog Unit, Armed Support Unit and other divisional units conducted an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Kilrush town.
A total of 11 premises were searched as part of the operation. As a result, drugs including suspected cocaine, cannabis herb and crack cocaine to the estimated value of €7,000 were seized.
A number of other items, including fireworks and cash to the value of €4,450 were also seized.
The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
