One man is due to appear in court following a drugs seizure in East Clare on Thursday morning.
Gardaí attached to Killaloe Garda Station, supported by Divisional Drug unit, Task Force members and the Garda Dog unit, executed a search warrant in the East Clare area as part of Operation Tara.
During the search, a number of suspected controlled substances and cash were seized.
Gardaí have confirmed that “a male was arrested, and charged to appear in court.”
An Garda Síochána in Clare have also offered advice to anyone who might suffer from drug addiction.

Operation Tara an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy, which was launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris on July 2, 2021. The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels – international, national, local – involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
