Update: The woman (aged in her 30’s), arrested in connection with this investigation, has since been charged.
She is expected to appear before Ennis District Court tomorrow morning, Wednesday 14th January 2026, at approximately 10.30am.
The male youth has been released without charge and a file will now be prepared for the Garda Youth Diversion Office.

Tuesday: Gardaí investigating an incident of aggravated burglary that occurred at a halting site in Ennis, Co. Clare yesterday have arrested two people.
The incident occurred on Monday 12th January 2026 at approximately 4:30pm.
A woman in her 30s and a male youth were arrested today in connection with the investigation.
The woman and male youth were conveyed to Garda Stations in Co. Clare where they are currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Investigations are ongoing and further developments will be reported.”
