The second victim of Friday nights tragic road traffic collision in Limerick has died in hospital.
The 18-year-old girl was pronounced dead last night at University Hospital Limerick, Gardaí have confirmed.
19-year-old Gary Kelly from Gort Road in Ennis died at the scene of the two-vehicle head-on collision that occurred on the N21 at Wards Cross near Abbeyfeale at around 7.40pm on Friday.
Mr Kelly was fatally injured when the KIA car he was driving was involved in a collision with a refuse truck. The lorry left the road and ploughed through a ditch and down an embankment following the crash.
The 18-year-old girl was rushed to hospital in a critical condition and died from her injuries on Saturday night.
Units of the fire brigade from Newcastlewest and Abbeyfeale along with several ambulances and garda patrols attended the incident.
