A woman is recovering in hospital after she sustained a head injury in a fall in Lahinch on Thursday evening.
The Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard was called out to assist the National Ambulance Service after the woman fell on rocks beyond the northern end of the prom.

Ambulance paramedics were able to reach the casualty but were unable to recover her.
Coast Guard volunteers from Doolin were requested to assist and recovered the woman from the area and helped stretcher her to an ambulance.
The woman is understood to have sustained a head injury which is not thought to be serious.
