A man in his 70s is recovering in hospital following a road traffic collision on the outskirts of Ennis this morning.
The incident, which involved a car and a cyclist, occurred at the Clare Abbey Roundabout between Ennis and Clarecastle shortly at around 11.10am.
The National Ambulance Service and GardaĆ responded to the incident.
The cyclist was assessed at the scene by paramedics before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed: āGardaĆ and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision on the Clareabbey Roundabout, Ennis, Co. Clare today January 18th 2026 shortly after 11:10am.
The collision involved a car and a cyclist. A male cyclist (aged in his 70s) was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
No other injuries were reported.ā
