Gardaí investigate serious collision on Clare/Limerick border

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the outskirts of Limerick city this afternoon.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision involving a truck and a pedestrian on the Corbally Road on the Clare/Limerick border. The incident occurred shortly before 12:30pm.

The female pedestrian was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The road is currently closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling on the Corbally Road in Limerick city between 11:45am and 12:45pm today, 22nd November 2025, are asked to provide it to investigating Gardaí.
