The Killaloe unit of the Irish Coast Guard was called out in the early hours of the morning to assist in the search for a missing person in Co Tipperary.
The volunteer team was alerted at 3.15am along with Tipperary Civil Defence and requested to help Gardaí from Nenagh and Borrisokane to conduct a search for a missing woman in the Borrisokane area.

After a search that lasted several hours, the casualty was located at 6.15am and stretchered to a HSE ambulance and transported to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
A helicopter from the Garda Air Support Unit also conducted searches in the area while the Shannon based Irish Coast Guard helicopter, Rescue 115, was also on standby to assist if needed.
