On the other hand Ennis has the second highest rate in Ireland for drivers to pass their test. 70.5% of individuals who undertook the assessment in the county town were successful on their first attempt. Since 2008 the pass rate in Ennis has increased every year except 2013.

Kilrush is above the national average with 61.8% of applicants passing their drivers test in 2015. Of the records available this is the biggest increase of pass rates in the West Clare town. Noticeably the results in Kilrush tend to fluctuate more than in Shannon and Ennis.

Between 2010 and 2013 on average Ennis has the most impressive pass rate across the entire country.
