LAWPRO Launches Water Quality Focused Newsletter

The Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO), working on behalf of Ireland’s 31 local authorities to protect and restore good water quality in our river catchments, has launched its newsletter ‘Ripple Effect’.

Ripple Effect provides insight into the role of LAWPRO and the catchments and communities that we work in across Ireland. It offers a behind-the-scenes look at LAWPRO’s activities, our work with communities at a local level and our science-based approach to making targeted improvements to water quality management across Ireland.

Commenting on the newsletter, Barry Deane, Regional Coordinator at LAWPRO said: “While the work LAWPRO does has grown exponentially since we were established in 2018 the core of what we do remains the same- we work to make targeted improvements in water quality through the coordination of local authorities and other public bodies in the implementation of the Water Action Plan.

Our various funding streams available to community groups.
