The Junior Certificate Disco takes place this Wednesday, 12th September 2018, at the Queens Hotel Ennis between 7.30pm and 10.30pm.
Gardaí have issued advise to parents and students ahead of the event which is confined to junior certificate students and it is alcohol free.
The Garda advise is as follows:
– Parents are asked to ensure arrangements are in place for the safe arrival and collection of their children. We are asking parents to stay until their children enter the disco as last year a number of children did not get in and their parents had gone home and had to be contacted to return.
– Transport Operators are to ensure that no alcohol is allowed on their vehicles.
– Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Those found to have consumed alcohol or under the influence of other substances will be refused admission to the disco and will be dealt with by the Gardaí.
– Parents will be contacted in all cases where the Gardaí were required to intervene.
– Parents are reminded to discuss these matters with their children beforehand and to insist that they not misbehave.
– Extra Gardaí will be on duty on the night.
– Above all enjoy the night and celebrate in a safe and responsible manner.
