Gardaí have made a public appeal for information about a man missing in Co Clare since June 7th last.
29-year-old John Ryan, originally from Faranderry, Templemore Co Tipperary had been living in Bunratty Co Clare and previously worked with a company at Shannon Airport.
Mr Ryan, who was as student at Limerick I.T., was last seen at Cliffs of Moher, Liscannor, Co. Clare driving a green Volkswagen Golf on the evening of June 7th.
The alarm was raised the following day when his car and a bag containing personal belongings were found near Hags Head on the southern end of the cliffs.
Irish Coast Guard volunteers from Doolin, Kilkee and Killaloe along with the Garda Water Unit and the Shannon based search and rescue helicopter have been searching the Clare coast for almost a fortnight.
John is described as 5”10, slim build, short brown hair and has green eyes. He was wearing a light grey cardigan, black t-shirt, blue jeans and white runners.

A body was recovered from the sea off Loop Head in Clare on Friday however it’s believed to be that of another man missing from north Kerry.
The alarm was raised shortly before 10am on Friday when the fishermen reported seeing what they believed to be a body in the water about a kilometre from the shore.
The RNLI lifeboat based at Kilrush responded to the alarm and quickly recovered a body from the water. A member of the volunteer crew was on board the fishing vessel at the time.
Two other men have been missing off the Clare coast since earlier in the year.
A 34-year-old Polish man, who had been living in Killaloe, is believed to have fallen to his death close to the lighthouse at Loop Head in January. With no sign of the man, the search for officially called off after four weeks.
In April, a man in his 30’s is believed to have fallen to his death from the Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare however his body has not been recovered.
