Music Generation Clare showcase in glór

Almost two hundred participants of programmes and partnerships of Music Generation Clare, across Clare will take to the stage in glór Music Centre this evening (Friday) in a gala multi-genre showcase performance.

Music Generation Clare is part of Music Generation, Ireland’s National Music Education Programme helping children and young people access high quality subsidised performance music education in their local area.

Performing this evening will be members of the Pop and Rock Orchestra led by Graham Keane; The Clare Trazz Experience from Killaloe and Ennis who work on traditional, world music and composition, led by Eddie McMahon.

Also taking part will be the Clare Concertina Collective led by Pádraig Rynne, 60 young string players of the Primary Strings programme led by Ciarán Collins, participants of the ‘Write, Rap and Record’ programme from Kilrush Community School, who have worked with producer John Lillis, a contemporary vocal group from Ennistymon led by Sharon Howley and young singers from the Burren Children’s Choir and Escalation singing programme who have worked throughout the year with Máiréad Ní Chondúin, Rhonwen Hayes, Helen Quinlivan and Carol O’Neill.
