Doolin Coast Guard conducts search for missing person

The Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard was tasked this afternoon to carry out a search for a possible missing person in the North Clare area.

The team was contacted by watch officers at the Coast Guard’s marine rescue coordination centre on Valentia Island in Kerry at around 12.30pm. Gardaí had requested assistance searching for a person feared missing in the vicinity of the Cliffs of Moher.

Coast Guard personnel were deployed from their station in Doolin to search along the cliff top. The person was located safe and well and the search was stood down.
