Two people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the N85 Ennis to Ennistymon road this evening.
The single-vehicle crash happened at around 5.30pm just a few hundred metres on the Ennistymon side of Inagh village.
National Ambulance Service paramedics and Gardaí responded to the scene along with units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service.
On arrival at the scene emergency services found that a vehicle had left the road and collided with a ditch.
The two occupants were assessed by ambulance paramedics before being transported to University Hospital Limerick for further treatment. It’s understood their injuries are not serious.
The HSE’s Emergency Aeromedical Service (EAS) air ambulance, had been tasked from its base at Rathcoole in Co Cork but was stood down en route.
The scene has since been cleared and the road fully reopened.
