Met Éireann has issued a low level thunderstorm warning for almost the entire country including Clare.
The island of Ireland, except for Cork, is subject to the Status Yellow warning.
The weather service is warning of heavy downpours and thunderstorms citing possible impacts including:
• Spot flooding
• Difficult traveling conditions
• Poor visibility
The warning has been issued with immediate effect and will remain in place until 9 o’clock this evening (Tuesday).

A rather cloudy day, with any mist patches lifting this afternoon and a few bright or sunny spells breaking through. Some heavy and thundery showers will develop mainly across the east and south of the province, with some intense downpours forming and hail possible. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in light northerly or variable winds.

Heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue for a time overnight, mainly affecting eastern parts of the province. The showers will gradually die out later. It will be mostly dry and cloudy elsewhere with a few patches of mist and fog forming. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in light northwesterly winds.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow, Wednesday will be a rather cloudy and mostly dry day, with just isolated showers developing. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in moderate to fresh northwesterly winds.
