A resource pack for professionals working with children and families, ahead of what is expected to be a particularly difficult Christmas for people affected by domestic abuse has been developed by a network of agencies including An Garda Síochána, Tusla, community support services, legal services and health service providers in County Clare.

CLAN, Clare Local Area Network on Violence Against Women, is marking this year’s 16 Days of Action Opposing Violence Against Women, by welcoming a change in legislation that makes Coercive Control an offence under the Domestic Violence Act 2018.

The Clare Local Area Network have just launched their one day seminar as part of the nationwide “16 days” campaign against gender based violence at the Civic Rooms at Waterpark House in Ennis on Thursday the 19th of October.
