Iarnród Éireann is hopeful that the only stretch of the rail network that remains flooded and closed following last years storms, will reopen next month.
General Election candidates and their support teams have been warned that they will be prosecuted if any individual is found trespassing on Iarnród Éireann property to erect election posters.
The Office of Public Works (OPW) has claimed the repeated flooding of a lake in Co Clare, that has again forced the closure of a rail line and a local road, is not it’s responsibility.
