A memorial marking the County Clare Nursery (Mother and Baby Home) has been unveiled at Toler Street, Kilrush, County Clare, by the outgoing Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr Mary Howard.

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr Mary Howard, has welcomed the announcement of €15 million in funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2021 by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, “at a time when the county’s towns and villages need to increase footfall and adapt post-Covid-19”.

Chief, Executive Pat Dowling, Clare County Council, has welcomed the launch of Seachtain na Gaeilge which will run until St Patrick's Day.

Clare County Council has been presented with a piece of marble screen by the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, the local authority’s twinning partner in China.

Online applications are now being invited for the Community Supports Scheme 2021, which will see just over €500,000 being awarded under 11 separate grant support categories.

Ahead of the May bank holiday weekend, Clare County Council and An Garda Síochána are asking people not to travel to parks, beaches or other amenities outside of the 2km limit.
