As part of an innovative fundraiser, the Zimmer Biomet team in Shannon and Galway rowed and cycled the equivalent distance from Ireland to Beijing to raise over €20,000 to support sick children in Ireland.

Acknowledging the contribution of its highly skilled workforce in Ireland over the last thirteen years and with the goal of encouraging a new generation to enjoy a career in STEM, Zimmer Biomet has launched an annual scholarship award programme focused on recognising the children of its employees in both Shannon and Galway.

More than 350 children in 12 primary schools across Clare, Galway, Limerick and Tipperary have learned more about biodiversity and how to reduce waste, reuse and recycle, thanks to an environmental initiative run by global healthcare technology company, Zimmer Biomet as part of the Junior Achievement outreach program.

Junior Achievement Ireland have partnered with Zimmer Biomet in Shannon, Co. Clare to inspire and motivate local primary and secondary school students.
