Best black and white image winner, Michelle Nugent-Considine.

The 21st Best of the best Irish Hair Photography Awards took place recently in Dublin where Ennis and Clare were well represented.

The event was held at the Ballsbridge Hotel where Bridget Haren Hair and Beauty were up for 25 awards, against the best in the hair and beauty industry.

For the second year in a row the Bridget Haren team scooped one of the top prizes of Artistic team of the year 2018 , which was shot on location at the Alfapharf academy in Dublin .

The theme of the shoot was Phoenix and inspired by fire. The shoot was shot by international photographer kestutis Anuzis and make up was by Linda Lafferty and assisted by Lauren Anderson.

The Bridget Haren artistic team worked with the national technical colour director of Alfapharf Beatrice Moate on their collection.

Also on the night manageress of the multi-award winning salon Michelle Nugent-Considine scooped the individual category award of Best of the Best Black and white image ,
Shot in the salon by kestutis Anuzis and make up by Linda Lafferty and modelled by Georgie of unite model management. Her collection was entitled silhouette.

Chief Reporter Pat Flynn has worked as a journalist for almost 30 years. His career began during the late 1980s when, like many aspiring radio presenters of the time, he worked for local pirate radio stations in Clare and Limerick. Pat joined Clare FM in 1990 where he worked as researcher initially and later presented several different programmes including the station's flagship current affairs programme. He was also the station's News Editor and Deputy Controller of Programmes. Despite leaving in 2003 to pursue a career as a freelance journalist, he continues to work with the station to this day. As well as being the Clare Herald’s Chief Reporter Pat is also freelance journalist and broadcaster, contributing to Ireland’s national newspapers and is a regular contributor to national broadcasters.
