Ireland’s newest energy supplier, Just Energy, has announced it is to create 50 new jobs nationwide with the global energy provider confirm it will grow its Irish workforce, particularly in County Clare.

The announcement comes as the Irish arm of the company looks to celebrate its first anniversary, after entering the market in September 2017.

These jobs are in addition to the dedicated team of energy advisors already based in the company’s Cork contact centre and will work to support Just Energy’s continued growth in Ireland. The majority of the 50 new roles will be sales-oriented.

Mike Cody, Ireland Country Manager for Just Energy, said, “We’re looking forward to growing the team in Ireland and strengthening our place in the market. With more than 10,000 customers already, the expansion of our team will help us to achieve greater goals and share our products nationwide.”

He continued, “Just Energy’s priority is strongly focused on the customer. This means a commitment to deliver clear and simple energy tariffs for everyone. Our award-winning Unlimited and Rate Saver plans are particularly popular, with both offering security over energy bills and peace of mind despite any changing fuel prices or extreme weather conditions.”

Pat McCullough, Chief Executive Officer of Just Energy Group Inc., said, “Our people are the cornerstone of our business. We are delighted to invest in identifying exceptional talent to join our team in Ireland.  Expanding our workforce will be critical to driving the next phase of our business strategy and retaining our position as a significant player in Ireland’s energy market.”

Just Energy is the only energy company in Ireland to offer an unlimited tariff; a unique product for residential customers that removes the uncertainty associated with typical energy tariffs. Customers gain the ability to fix their home gas and electricity bills, whatever the weather, for a full year. The Unlimited tariff guarantees customers a fixed monthly bill over 12 months.

Just Energy, which received the “Best Energy Price Plan (New Customer)” Award at the Bonkers.ie National Consumer Awards, entered the Irish market in September 2017 with a broad range of new energy solutions that offer Irish consumers control over their household bills.
