Clare County Council has announced details of a funding programme supporting local festivals and participative events that will drive domestic tourism, stimulate local economic activity and help to improve the visitor experience in Clare.
To be considered for funding under the Local Festival & Participative Events Funding Programme 2019, festivals and participative events must generate a minimum of 300 visitor or tourist bed nights in paid accommodation.
A project minimum expenditure of €10,000 must be demonstrated in the case of both festivals and participative events.
The Local Authority is inviting festival and participative event organisers and organisations in County Clare to apply for grant funding for festivals and events that have occurred or will occur in 2019.
The application form and guidelines may be downloaded directly from Clare County Council’s website (www.clarecoco.ie) and are available on request from tourism@clarecoco.ie.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 4.00pm on Friday, 29th March 2019. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
