Status Yellow wind warning for Clare


Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for eight western counties including Clare.

The other areas are Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Cork and Kerry.

The latest alert follows last Sunday’s Status Orange warning which was most severe in coastal areas.

Met Éireann is warning that west to northwest winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/hr with gusts of 80 to 110 km/hr this evening and overnight.

Winds will be strongest along coasts and on hills and mountains.

His career began during the late 1980s when, like many aspiring radio presenters of the time, he worked for local pirate radio stations in Clare and Limerick.
