Emergency services deal with collision on N18 at Bunratty

Emergency services have dealt with a road traffic collision on the N18 at Bunratty this evening.

The single-vehicle collision occurred at around 9.20pm in the northbound lanes of the dual-carriageway just north of Junction 6.

Gardaí, National Ambulance Service paramedics and units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Shannon and Ennis stations responded to the incident.

The sole occupant of the car was assessed at the scene but was found to be uninjured.

Fire crews implemented an emergency traffic management system and were able to keep traffic flowing safely.

The road was closed temporarily while the vehicle was safely recovered from the scene.

It’s expected that the incident will be cleared and route reopened shortly.
