A place in the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship is on the line as Clare prepare to take on Roscommon.
Manager of the Clare Senior Footballers, Colm Collins has overseen some of the greatest days for the footballers in the County’s recent history. He still feels there is more ability within the panel that has yet to be seen.
Collins is adamant several of the team would make their place on any football team in the country and is hopeful their journey won’t come to an end in -.
“I think these players still have more in them, I think that a lot of our players would get on any team so I think there’s a lot more in them, hopefully we’re not finished yet”.
Scan over recent championship campaigns for the County’s footballers and a place in the last twelve would satisfy most followers of the game. However Colm is more ambitious and wants to make the quarter-finals.
“It’s a game it’s there now, we’ve to go out all hell-bent to give a really good performance and hopefully get over that, that’s it there’s only twelve left now so we’re one of the twelve so we’re not happy with that now at this stage”.
