The briefing will be attended by representatives from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, Clare County Council, Clare County Fire & Rescue Service, An Garda Síochána and the HSE on the issues that businesses need to consider in advance of the Fleadh.

In order to accommodate Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann from August 13th to 21st, Clare County Council says the town of Ennis will once again effectively become an ‘Event Venue’ which will necessitate advance actions to be taken to ensure compliance with the relevant codes of practice, and health and safety legislation.

The purpose of the upcoming briefing for local business owners and business groups will be to outline the proposed traffic management arrangements and other matters relating to the hosting of this prestigious international event.

Meanwhile, the Abbey Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann this week submitted a formal Event Licence application under the statutory planning process. The application process affords an opportunity to the wider public to comment on proposals for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
