It’s understood the President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jnr, was on board with US media reporting he was due to arrive in India tomorrow for a series of engagements.

The flight departed Shannon at around midday after being refuelled and travelled onto Cairo in Egypt. It’s understood that Mr Trump will then travel onto India where he already has a number of engagements planned.

According to US media reports, Mr Trump will visit Delhi in an effort to attract investors in the family’s proposed Trump Towers Delhi due to be completed in 2023. Donald Trump Jnr is expected to attend the project’s ground-breaking ceremony.

A spokesman for Trump’s International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg Co Clare confirmed however that they were not expecting any member of the Trump.

It’s not clear however whether Mr Trump has any plans to visit Co Clare on his return from India.

Executive Vice President of the Trump Organisation Eric Trump visited the Co Clare property twice last year also amid heavy security.

In April, he travelled to Doonbeg for a series of meetings including discussions on the future of the facility and an ongoing planning process surrounding proposed coastal protection works at the property.
