Shannon’s Park Inn has been voted the best of 26 Park Inn by Radisson hotels in Ireland, the UK and Western Europe for guest satisfaction in 2018.

The results were compiled from the reviews each hotel received from its customer base across all booking platforms covered by the global review index.

This amazing accolade has been welcomed by the hotel’s management and staff where delivery of exceptional customer service is the operational mantra, and which has now been recognised and rewarded.

General Manager Louise O’Hara ecstatically welcomed the news, stating: “To be voted best in the group for our commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction is way beyond our expectations, but now that we have achieved this status, we will be setting our goals even higher.

“To outscore 25 hotels in our group is a tremendous boost for this area, quite apart from staff, as it shows the level of hospitality that we have to offer here in the Shannon region. Our hotel is oftentimes the first and last impression a visitor gets when arriving and/or leaving Ireland and we go out of our way to make that guest experience memorable and lasting.”

Having recently completed a total refurbishment of its 114 rooms and all public areas, the hotel is now focused on winning new business from the leisure and business community to boost visitor numbers to the region.

“It will be an exciting year for the region, particularly with the staging of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in Lahinch in July. This presents a unique opportunity for us to showcase what this region offers, and we look forward to playing our part in making this a memorable event. We have a strong management team and our 45 staff, a mix of nationalities, will be ready to portray all that is best about this part of the world. Our head chef, Aidan McCarthy, is continually being praised for his high-quality cuisine and this was clearly instrumental in our high customer satisfaction rankings,” added Ms O’Hara.

Speaking on behalf of the staff, Chef McCarthy added: “We are just so thrilled that the effort we put in each day to make this hotel stand out in our guests’ memories has been recognised in this manner. We converse with our guests when they stay with us but now, through voting us number one in our hotel group, they have spoken back; it’s a great feeling. We have a spring in our step now for the year ahead and will be out to set another new record for the Park Inn by Radisson, for the Shannon region and for Ireland.”
