Applications open for 2027 Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition

Calling all curious young minds! Applications are now open for the 2027 Primary Science Fair, giving primary school students from across Ireland the opportunity to showcase their imaginations.

Part of the annual Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (YSTE), this showcase is designed to spark a lifelong love for science, technology, and maths in primary school students.

The Primary Science Fair invites groups of up to thirty students from 3rd to 6th class to put their creativity to the test. Whether it’s discovering more about the natural world, investigating how everyday things work, exploring ways to protect our environment or experimenting with forces, energy and materials, students are encouraged to follow their curiosity and see where it takes them.

The Primary Science Fair provides a fun, non-competitive environment where the next generation can experience the excitement of scientific discovery and share their ideas with fellow students, teachers and visitors. Schools can submit multiple projects, giving even more young scientists the chance to explore the questions and ideas that inspire them.

The 2027 Primary Science Fair will take place at the RDS, Dublin, on the 7th and 8th January 2027, as part of the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. Participating schools will be notified in November if their projects have been selected to feature at the exhibition.

Alison Ahern, Head of the Stripe YSTE and Education Partnerships, said: “The Primary Science Fair is all about encouraging younger students to discover just how exciting science, technology, maths and engineering can be. Every year, we are inspired by the enthusiasm that primary school students bring to their projects, and by the incredible range of topics they choose to investigate. We’re looking forward to welcoming a new generation of young scientists to the RDS in January!”

Applications for the 2027 Primary Science Fair close on the 13th November. For more information, visit https://www.stripeyste.com/primary-science-fair
