A memorial to those lost at sea off the Clare coast will be unveiled in Kilkee today.

It was celebrations all round in Shannon last week when Shannon-based Advanced Technical Concepts (ATC) was awarded the All-Ireland Business Foundation’s Best Medium Business Award 2019 at the Foundation’s annual All-Ireland Business Summit in Croke Park. The company’s win was based on a detailed submission and live judging on the day.

The Department of Information Technology at Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) is teaming up with Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) to support and promote careers in ICT through a series of free “Explore Events” for students, teachers, parents and career guidance counsellors.

Gardaí have already taken up security duties at Shannon ahead of a possible visit by US President Donald Trump next month. 

Clare students were honoured for their efforts in promoting water conservation and awareness at an award ceremony this week.

A number of events will take place in the Burren National Park as part of Biodiversity Week.

The 13th annual Burren Slow Food Festival took place in Lisdoonvarna recently and brought together food and drinks producers, cooks, creators, eaters and writers for a weekend of talks, demonstrations and pop-up dinners from high profile chefs including Michelin stars Danni Barry and Takashi Miyazaki, Belfast’s Bia Rebel Head Chef Brian Donnelly and Euro-Toques Commissioner General, Gareth Mullins.
