Michael Ryan guided Tipperary to their twenty seventh All-Ireland senior hurling championship in 2016; this December is one of the main speakers at Shannon Chamber’s annual Presidents lunch.
Ryan will be joined by leaders from the world of politics and business such as Patrick O’Donovan T.D., Minister of State for Tourism and Sport and Sean Flannery, general manager, GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). They will be interviewed by the inimitable Séamus Hennessy, broadcaster, businessman and educator on the trials and tribulations associated with leadership.
As Shannon Chamber’s chief executive Helen Downes explains: “Leadership is such a topical issue at the moment that we decided it might be a very worthwhile undertaking to invite three people who have demonstrated great leadership traits to share their views on what it takes to attain great wins. It’s quite a departure from our normal keynote speaker format but we believe it’s exactly what our members need at this time of year and should generate lively rapport among the panel and the audience.
“We are certainly looking forward to gaining some new insights as I’m sure all of our members and their guests are too. It’s a rare opportunity to hear what it takes to lead and win in the very different environments of sport, politics and business.”
Bookings are still being taken for the lunch, which runs from 12.30pm until 2.30pm on Tuesday, 6 December 2016 at Dromoland Castle Hotel.
