Two trainee hairdressers with Ennis-based Bridget Haren Hair and Beauty have been named as finalists in the 2025 Apprentice of the Year awards.
Emma McDonnell from Connolly and Gráinne Henry from Corofin are their third year students at the Ennis campus of the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB).
Bridget Haren of Bridget Haren Hair and Beauty said: “Both ladies started work experience with the salon over three years ago and have undergone huge training skills and mentorship within the salon.
Last year both ladies competed in the finals of the world skills in Dublin where they produced six different looks to the judges over three days. They will now go head-to-head again in Dublin for the huge title of Apprentice of the year 2025.”
Ms Haren added: “Emma and Gráinne are hugely excited and honoured to be part of an elite group of apprentices in Ireland who are through to the final which will take place on October 21st in the Mansion House in Dublin.
This is an incredible opportunity for both the ladies and it highlights the level of training and education it takes to even get through to the finals and I’m super proud of both of them.”
