Clare's Colm Galvin has confirmed his retirement from inter-county hurling.

Clare’s Munster senior hurling championship showdown with Cork will now be played at Semple Stadium in Thurles.

The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and Munster Post Primary Schools GAA has signed a sponsorship deal that will see the newly designated TU provide financial and skills support to the provincial post primary school hurling and football competitions until 2025.

A voluntary group that fundraises to support Clare hurling and camogie from development squads to senior level, is calling on supporters in the county to get behind their teams. 

A total of 10 Clare athletes were among the 78 students that received the Limerick Institute of Technology Sports Scholarship this academic year.

One of the country’s best-known hurley-makers is expected to increase its workforce after launching a new sustainable alternative to traditional ash hurl.
