AI and Economic Outlook Centre Stage at LEO Clare Event

Entrepreneurs and small business owners from across Clare gathered in Shannon on Friday for the Local Enterprise Office Clare annual Business Networking Morning, where artificial intelligence and the 2026 economic outlook dominated discussion.

The half-day event, held at the Future Mobility Campus Ireland, drew startups, established firms and support agencies for a morning of talks, debate and informal networking.

Mark Kelly, President of AI Ireland, delivered the keynote address, outlining how artificial intelligence is reshaping both emerging and established businesses. Having reviewed over 950 AI projects to date, Mr. Kelly advises leaders on how to deploy and scale AI in practical, measurable ways.

Michael Queally, managing director of AMQ Accountants and Auditors, offered an economic outlook for businesses in County Clare and beyond in 2026, drawing on more than 25 years’ experience advising businesses on compliance, strategy, and growth.

Meanwhile, Conor Smith, founder of Insight Life Pensions and Investments, presented on the effects of auto enrolment on small businesses.

The event concluded with a panel discussion and audience Q&A, followed by further networking before the close of the formal programme.
