Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO), Ireland’s premier chamber ensemble, is back on the road this April, bringing Mozart’s World to Limerick, Cork, Waterford and Dublin from 16-19 April.
Led by Guest Leader Joel Bardolet, ICO delivers performances of vitality, precision and expressive depth, bringing world-class music to audiences everywhere.
This vibrant programme explores the many facets of Mozart’s genius, from the dazzling flair of the Fifth Violin Concerto to the tender introspection of the E minor Sonata, and finally, the effervescent charm of Symphony No. 29. Intimate, inventive and rich in character, the music captures Mozart’s lyricism, drama and irrepressible joy.
At the heart of every performance is ICO’s distinctive sound, the transparent textures, vibrant interplay and the immediacy that draws audiences into the music. Every phrase feels alive and illuminated. Internationally acclaimed and artistically fearless, ICO brings music to everyone.
Artistic Partner Henning Kraggerud adds a unique and engaging dimension to the experience. Directing ICO from the violin, he connects directly with audiences, sharing insights, stories and little-known glimpses into Mozart’s life and music. His interactive style, natural charisma and communicative warmth create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making each performance feel personal, accessible and full of discovery.
Mozart’s World is music-making of elegance and vitality, it’s refined, spontaneous and brims with joy.
