The Swallow stars Academy award winner, Brenda Fricker, whose career has spanned six decades of film and drama.

In a small house by the sea, a woman begins a letter to an unknown correspondent. Surrounded by the books, mementoes and clutter of her life, her home exposed to the waves of a rising ocean, she writes about the history of lost art. The film was made on location in New Quay, Co Clare. Its cinema release in autumn 2025 received widespread acclaim.

Clare-based Tadhg O’Sullivan is one of Ireland’s most talented and innovative filmmakers. The Swallow is a drama featuring a fictional character played with signature understatement by Brenda Fricker. Tadhg will introduce the film on the evening and host a Q and A after the screening.

X-PO is located in the former post office in Killinaboy. It is a small community hub for social and cultural activities. All are welcome to the film. Admission free. Donations to X-PO welcome.
