Caherhurley Organic Nursery in Bodyke, in East Clare has fully open again after being forced to close temporarily last year.
Gert Stam is well known in the horticulture community and has a wonderful reputation for producing reliable and hardy plants in the windy and wet hills of East Clare.
Unfortunately, after enduring a turbulent time with some health issues last year, he decided to close the nursery. However his health has since improved and Caherhurley is back on its feet again. Not only that, the range of unusual plants available to visitors is wider than ever before.
Caherhurley Organic Nursery is a unique place for Ireland and there is nowhere else in the country selling such a diverse range of rare and interesting perennial ornamental varieties of plants.
Gert said: “A lot of work has been happening here and our new nursery is more attractive than ever, with new sections of plants for pollinators, hardy alpines, patio plants and shrubs to fill gaps in the garden which will help with biodiversity and support the pollinating insects of our ecosystem.
We have over 500 varieties for sale which have been propagated on site at the nursery and are certified organic and grown outside to suit the Irish climate.”
All plants are 6 euro each and we have a special offer of 9 plants for €50.
