Gardaí in Clare are investigating several incidents of theft where thieves stole a large quantity of coal; diesel and vehicle number plates.
Ennis Gardaí are investigating a theft of 500kg of coal from St Flannans Terrace Ennis last Friday night the 13th into Saturday morning between 6pm and 6am.
Sergeant Edel Burke, in issuing an appeal for information, said: “The culprits here would’ve needed a car, or a van or a trailer to load this weight of coal. We are asking anyone who witnessed anything in the area that night or if you have dash cam footage, to make it available to Ennis Gardaí on 065 6848100.”
Newmarket On Fergus gardai are investigating the theft of diesel from a digger and tractor in the Granaghan More area, last Tuesday night between 8pm to 7am the following morning.
Gardai are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything unusual in the area that night or saw any persons in the area acting suspicious to contact Newmarket On Fergus Gardaí on 061 368172.
Meanwhile, Killaloe Gardaí are investigating the theft of number plates from a car in the Monaskehan Heights area Wednesday night the 4th into Thursday morning the 5th February.
