Gardaí seek witnesses to fatal Tulla road collision

Gardaí in Clare have issued an appeal witness following a road traffic collision in the county on Monday.

The two-car collision occurred at approximately 3:30pm on Monday on the R352 near Moymore near Tulla.

National Ambulance Service paramedics; Gardaí and units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Ennis station responded to the incident.

The HSE’s Cork-based Emergency Aeromedical Service (EAS) air ambulance also attended the scene.

A female passenger (aged in her 80s) was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries. She was pronounced deceased during the early morning of Tuesday 26th May 2026.

The female drivers of each car (both aged in her 50s) were conveyed to UHL for treatment of serious injuries.

A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been appointed to the family of the deceased.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators attended the scene and an examination took place. The road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R352 near Moymore, Tulla, Co. Clare between 3:00pm and 3:30pm, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
