Earlier: One man has died and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash near Miltown Malbay early today.
The collision which occurred at Caherogan on the main R747 Miltown Malbay to Ennis road at around 4.15am.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 3kms from Miltown Malbay where a car was reported to have struck a bridge.
Two units of the fire brigade from Ennistymon along with a number of ambulances and Garda units responded to the scene.
A 30-year-old male, who was a rear seat passenger, was fatally injured. The male driver, aged 28, and a front seat passenger, a 26-old-woman, were injured and were taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Limerick.
The stretch of road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
