A section of the M18 was closed for a time this morning following a single vehicle collision.
The incident occurred at around 8.20am on the northbound carriageway at Ballyline between junction 14 (Barefield) and junction 15 (Crusheen).

The red Audi car is understood to have lost control before colliding with the central crash barrier. The car came to a stop against the concrete barrier blocking the overtaking lane.
Conditions in the area at the time were said to be poor.
Units of the fire brigade from Ennis responded to the incident along with gardaí and motorway maintenance crews. Gort fire service was also mobilised to the collision as the original reports indicated it was north of crusheen.
The driver was uninjured and did not require an ambulance.
Traffic was backed up for several kilometres while emergency services dealt with the incident. The motorway was reopened at around 9.20 after the car had been removed and the scene was made safe again.
Met Éireann has already issued a precautionary weather alert for the coming days. The weather service has said an Atlantic storm from the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia will move northwards close to Ireland are storm force winds, heavy rain and high seas are threatened.
