Two people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the outskirts of Ennis this morning.
The incident, which involved a car and 4×4 vehicle, happened at around 9.20am on the N68 Ennis to Kilrush road at Ashline.

Two units of the fire brigade from Ennis responded to the incident along with two ambulances and Gardaí.
Two people were examined at the scene and removed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
Traffic was reduced to a single lane for a time however the road was reopened at around 10.30am after the vehicles had been from the scene.
Gardaí in Ennis are investigating the incident.
