ESB Networks will visit Shannon on Wednesday to brief companies in the region on the latest developments in infrastructure, the electrification of heat and transport and smart technology for business.
The morning breakfast event, which takes place in Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel in Shannon from 8:30am until 9:30am, will feature a presentation by ESB Networks’ divisional manager and area manager on the role the company plays in Shannon, some key recent projects in the area and an overview of innovations being rolled out, particularly in the area of new connections in new housing estates, in business and in wind farms.
Speaking ahead of the event, Shannon Chamber CEO Helen Downes said: “This is a great opportunity for businesses to learn more about the level of investment that is being made in electricity services in Shannon and in the wider region. Improvements in the supply of this key resource are essential to ensure cost effective supply. It’s also an exciting time with the increasing roll-out of smart technologies and electric vehicles. This briefing will enable us all to learn more about the work currently being done by ESB Networks and what lies ahead.
