Clare County Council will participate in National Heritage Week 2024, a significant event aimed at celebrating and preserving the rich heritage of County Clare.
Co-ordinated by the Heritage Council, with support from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, and Fáilte Ireland, Heritage Week is part of the broader European Heritage Days initiative, a joint effort by the Council of Europe and the European Union.
Heritage Week 2024 is dedicated to creating awareness and fostering appreciation for the built, natural, oral, and cultural heritage that defines our county. Through a wide range of events, the week seeks to engage the community in the conservation, preservation, and enjoyment of these invaluable assets.
Clare County Council is delighted to co-ordinate the Heritage Week events across the county, bringing together various community groups and organisations dedicated to preserving Clare’s unique heritage. The Council acknowledges the tremendous contributions made by these groups and individuals, whose efforts ensure that the stories, traditions, and historical landmarks of Clare continue to be cherished and passed on to future generations.
