The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open is proving once again the prestigious tournament has more to offer its fans with BEO Bites, a health and wellness event run by founders and Clare residents Aoibhín Garrihy and Sharon Connellan, the latest high-profile addition to an action-packed week at Lahinch Golf Club from July 3-7.
As well as bringing some of the best golfing talent in the world to the famous County Clare links for the second Rolex Series event on the Race to Dubai, the Lifestyle Pavilion will play host to the five-day spectacular at Lahinch Golf Club, with BEO Bites taking centre stage in the Championship Village on Saturday July 6.
Fitness and wellbeing expert Pat Divilly and TV personality Sile Seoige have been confirmed as guest speakers for BEO Bites, with further names to be added in the coming weeks. Those who attend the two-hour session on Saturday morning kicking off at 11:00am will be treated to a healthy breakfast upon arrival and a variety of guest speakers covering topics such as fitness, style, mindfulness and health.
Admission to BEO Bites is free with a Dubai Duty Free Irish Open ticket but places are limited and subject to availability on a first come first served basis. Doors open at 10am for breakfast bites with the event taking place from 11am to 1pm. Those hoping to attend are being asked to arrive early. Attendees will receive a complimentary goodie bag.
Aoibhin Garrihy said; “BEO was born in Co. Clare so it’s quite fitting that we return to Lahinch this July for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. Between the golf, music and now BEO Bites coming to Lahinch Golf Club, it means there’s something on offer for the whole family. BEO is a series of health and wellness talks and we have various different speakers on board. My advice is to get there early and enjoy a light, healthy breakfast before things kick off.”
Other events due to take place in the Lifestyle Pavilion will be announced in the weeks leading up to the tournament.
Lahinch Golf Club, perched on the famous Wild Atlantic Way coast of Ireland, is expected to provide a festival atmosphere unlike any other, with the popular tourist town of Lahinch on the doorstep of the famous links course.
Hurling All Stars Cian Lynch (Limerick), Joe Canning (Galway), Shane O’Donnell (Clare), former Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald and rugby legend Paul O’Connell are just some of the stars taking part in the Pro Am. Alongside the golf, Saturday at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open will see BEO Bites kick things off in the morning with hip hop sensations Chasing Abbey closing out the day on the Lahinch Live Stage in the Championship Village. Hermitage Green will play their first Irish show of 2019, closing the tournament on Sunday July 7. More music acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, which for the first time will be played over the spectacular Old Course at Lahinch Golf Club from July 3-7, is hosted by The 2014 Ryder Cup winning Captain Paul McGinley.
